Mudie-Bond’s Jeremy lands top truck sales awards
The Price was definitely right for Mercedes-Benz UK when it awarded a pair of coveted national prizes to Jeremy Price, of local dealer Mudie-Bond.
Jeremy beat his counterparts from 20 other franchisees nationwide to be named Truck Sales Manager of the Year at the annual Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealer of the Year Awards, which were staged at Silverstone motor racing circuit.
He was also named Sales Manager of the Year in the Truck Sales Masters motivation and reward programme, again winning out over competitors from across the country.
The Mudie-Bond Group has depots in Brackley, Kidderminster, Oxford and Tewkesbury, and represents the famous three-pointed star throughout Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
Although his name is on the trophy, Jeremy has been quick to pay tribute to the efforts of his 'magnificent' staff in helping him to win this important accolade for Mudie-Bond.
'It's really a team award,' he asserts. 'Everyone in the truck sales department has worked incredibly hard this year, against a background of some very challenging market conditions. 'It was always going to be a difficult time but to their credit my team have maintained a fantastic level of enthusiasm and an incredibly positive attitude – that, along with the huge number of doors we’ve knocked, has helped to keep our sales figures up, which has also meant more work for our service and parts department colleagues.' He continues: 'We also receive excellent support from the 'backroom gang' in our sales administration team, whose dedication and hard work makes our lives easier and allows us spend as much time as possible actually selling vehicles to customers.' Jeremy joined Mudie-Bond a decade ago. He worked initially in after sales but moved a year later into his first sales role, before being promoted to Truck Sales Manager in 2005. He was first nominated for the Truck Sales Manager of the Year title in 2006, but narrowly missed out on that occasion. Mudie-Bond sells and supports the entire range of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles, from the compact and stylish Vito van to the mighty Actros tractor unit, as well as the popular Mitsubishi Fuso Canter light truck.
